Tc intro

Takeshi's Castle (Japanese: Fūun! Takeshi-jō, 風雲!たけし城) was a Japanese game show which regularly aired every Friday between 20:00 and 20:54 on TBS between 1986 and 1990.

It featured the Japanese actor Takeshi Kitano (also known as Beat Takeshi) as a count who owns a castle and sets up difficult challenges for players (or a volunteer army) to get to him. The show has become a cult television hit around the world.

At the beginning of the program, the title logo is displayed against the backdrop of Takeshi Castle, The narrator of the show is Shizuo Miyauchi (then TBS announcer) who said (roughly) "this castle towering above heaven" is called "Takeshi Castle." Right now, around the castle, it dropped off the cover for gun barrel of fierce Naru fight so as to have".  This was followed by clips of the Keshi army who escaped after being chased by the attacking army, there was an introduction of the participants by dividing the screen into nine, and the faces of all were shown. Notable challengers such as foreigners and cosplayers were introduced by Captain Tani before the game started. The attacking army fell off one after another while attacking the difficult obstacles , but the rule is that the person who finally wins and defeats the castle owner Takeshi is a prize of 1 million yen, but there are few who will survive until the end.

A special live "revival" was broadcast on April 2, 2005, for TBS's 50th anniversary celebrations.
